Cornell Men v. Yale
Sunday, 10/11/09
Cornell was unable to continue its momentum from the previous day and crashed to one of it's heaviest defeats of the season.

Cornell arrived in New Haven excited for a good game after playing Harvard close the previous day. However Yale quickly taught Cornell a lesson on hard running and off loads to win the game.

Both teams came out to play a good and competitive match however Yale came out stronger and quickly put Cornell on it's back foot. Cornell valiantly defended its try-zone and held Yale out for an extended period of time but injuries to key members against Harvard and then again in the beginning of the Yale game resulted in Cornell not being able to hold Yale back. Matt Mullery scored a consolation 35 meter penalty to make sure Cornell was not shut out.

Although the game was out of Cornell's hands at half time, Cornell refused to hang their head or give up and continued to play hard, make tackles, and make as much of a game of it as possible. If anything, the determination of Cornell to never back down and never stop playing hard will take this team far in coming years.

Overall it was not a game Cornell can be proud of but they will continue to work hard in practice and continue to learn what it takes to become a contender for the Ivy League.
