Cornell University beat Colgate today in a clash of wills.

The first half saw some unlucky breaks for the Big Red and Colgate took a 12-0 lead into the half.

Like the native Evening Primrose, Cornell did not wilt and came back with determination scoring via a much earned line break ending with Gabe LaHue dottin...g down Cornell's first try.

Halftime proved to the turning point as a well-conditioned Cornell side came out firing. Harry Amadasun brought Cornell within 12-10 with a well-earned try on the outside. Team Captain Carlos Arbelaez proved his mettle by scoring the final two tries behind fine team play and solid rucking. The cheering contingent, felt The Sir may have just influenced the final scoring as Colgate split the uprights following a a questionable penalty call late in the match.
